Organic Skin Maintenance For Nappy Inflammation
Babies have very sensitive skin, and nappy rashes can come up quite often. This results in a miserable time for the child and the parents who take care of them. There are, however, options for natural skin care for nappy rash. There are companies who have put together natural ingredients that work to give the same effect as something synthetic.
These can, also, be very gentle for use on a small child. These ingredients are quite often much healthier, too, than other things. One thing that is used in particular is chamomile. This comes from a plant that is daisy-like, and it is extract used in things such as tea and similar things. It is recognisable for its smell which is both calming and subtle. For rashes, it is particularly soothing, and so it can be very suitable.
However, it can be harmful, so, generally, just a little is used. There are also things like calendula, which is also known as a pot marigold. It is good for reducing inflammation and it also helps sooth irritated skin, and these properties are, of course, also very good for helping to treat rashes.
The lack of harmful chemicals means that your child will be less likely to feel the irritation. It is also usually waterproof since this keeps the rash area protected from further irritation as it is soothed. Another common component is beeswax which comes from bees. This can serve as a barrier, which is what supplies the waterproof aspect.
Beeswax is not a vegan substance, so those who are vegan could find that to be a problem. Beeswax will be something that you should check for if you and your follow have a vegan lifestyle. Oils such as olive oil and sunflower oil are also frequently used, and these also make for good protection. Olive oil, in particular, is also good for moisturizing and cleansing, and seeing that this is supposed to sooth irritation, this works as an addition.
There is a risk with many products that they might dry out the rash area if used too often. It is healthier to try and stay moisturized, and something that does will help your baby and better prevent more rashes in the future.
Lavender oil is another thing that can be commonly found in these creams, and it is, of course, found in the lavender plant. This means a very distinctive smell, and serves to offer relief to irritated areas. Natural skin care for nappy rash can contain all of these ingredients, and others, too.
